Why Anduril Is Winning
Legacy defense companies (LMT, RTX, BA, GD) operate on cost-plus contracts. They bill the Pentagon for development + a guaranteed profit margin. This incentivizes slow, expensive development.
Anduril builds first, sells later. Their Lattice AI platform and autonomous drones were built with venture capital money, then demonstrated to the Pentagon as finished products. The military gets working tech in months, not decades.

RTX ($160B) — Raytheon's missiles (Patriot, Stinger) are being used in Ukraine and Israel. Iran crisis = massive restocking orders. AI-guided missiles are the next generation.
BA ($130B) — Boeing's defense division is the cash cow while commercial aviation struggles. MQ-25 drone tanker and loyal wingman program are their AI bets.
Investment Implications
Anduril is private — you can't buy the stock yet. IPO expected 2027-2028. When it comes, it'll be one of the biggest defense IPOs in history.
