The Winners
1. Rebuy AI ($99-499/month) — +12% Average Order Value
The best AI product recommendation engine for Shopify. Rebuy analyzes purchase patterns, browsing behavior, and cart contents to suggest products customers actually want. The "Smart Cart" feature adds personalized upsells and cross-sells directly in the cart drawer. Across our test stores, AOV increased 12% on average.
2. Tidio AI ($29/month) — +8% Conversion Rate
AI chatbot that handles 70-80% of customer inquiries automatically: order tracking, sizing questions, product comparisons, return policies. But the revenue impact comes from proactive engagement — the AI identifies hesitant shoppers and offers help before they bounce. In our fashion store, conversion rate increased 8% after installing Tidio.

6. AdCreative.ai ($29/month) — 22% Lower CPA on Ads
Generates hundreds of ad creative variations from product photos. The AI predicts which creatives will perform best based on historical data. Our home goods store saw cost-per-acquisition drop 22% by cycling through AI-generated creatives faster than we could manually.
The Losers (Skip These)
Nine apps produced no measurable revenue impact during our 60-day test: AI pricing optimization (too volatile for our product types), AI inventory forecasting (our stores were too small for meaningful predictions), three different "AI personalization" apps (couldn't detect meaningful impact), and several AI SEO tools (Shopify's built-in SEO is already decent).
The Bottom Line
Focus on the fundamentals: product recommendations (Rebuy), customer engagement (Tidio), email capture (Privy), and social proof (Judge.me). These four apps produced 90% of the measurable revenue lift in our testing. Everything else is optimization at the margins.
